Selwyn Snell FAIM – Chairman
Selwyn Snell is the former CEO of BioProspect Ltd, a publicly listed biotechnology company active in the discovery of new products for the pharmaceutical and agrichemical industries. He was also a former CEO of IAMA Limited which was Australia’s largest retailer of agricultural merchandise with an annual turnover in excess of $1 billion and which employed over 1,150 people.
Prior to his time with IAMA, Selwyn was based in Japan as President and Managing Director of Zeneca KK Limited. He was also a Director of Astra Zeneca KK Limited, and Managing Director of Teijin Agrochemicals KK Limited.
His current board appointments include Director of TheCyberInstitute and Managing Director of Barawyn Pty Ltd. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
John Hoey FAIM – Director
John Hoey is a career banker with more than thirty years industry experience spanning all facets of banking and financial services. He was General Manager for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia - Queensland and the Northern Territory until December 2009, managing a considerable business spanning metropolitan and regional centres and responsible for 165 branches with 2400 staff.
John is a Fellow of the Finance and Securities Institute of Australia, has been a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management since 1998 and was Chairman of the Australian Institute of Management Board from 2006 to 2009. John is widely known in corporate Queensland for his inspirational, strategic and insightful leadership and is a career mentor.
Ralph Hunt FAIM – Director
Ralph Hunt is the Vice President for JAPAC Consulting for Oracle's Global Utility Business Unit. He recently left Markinson Business Solutions having served as Chief Executive Officer for a two and a half year period of rapid growth, both organically and by acquisition nearly doubling the size of the business.
Ralph has spent the last 25 years working in sales, consulting and management roles with leading IT companies around the world. He has previously held positions as Vice President of Mincom IT Contractual Services, General Manager (Queensland) of Hitachi Data Systems, and General Manager Sales and Marketing for CITEC.
Ralph sits on the Strategic Advisory Board of the Griffith Business School. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a member of the Advisory Panel of the Queensland iLab.
Carolyn Barker AM FAIM – Director
Carolyn Barker is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Institute of Management - Qld & NT and Managing Director of TheCyberInstitute
Carolyn regularly advises corporations, CEOs and top teams on strategic planning, high performance leadership and change management projects. She also advises Boards, primarily in the not for profit sector, on corporate governance and modern leadership strategies.
Carolyn holds an undergraduate degree in Business and an MBA from the University of South Australia. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and sits on the National Board of the Institute, and Chair of the Griffith Business School Advisory Board and a member of the Brisbane City Council City Business Advisory Board.
Dawid Falck AFAIM, Chief Executive Officer
Dawid Falck is is an international business leader and ICT specialist.Prior to TheCyberInstitute, Dawid held senior roles with Vodafone, Australia and New Zealand. Before joining Vodafone, Dawid’s career spanned the Information Technology sector where he held several roles with Datacom NZ, Infinity Solutions NZ and Netscope South Africa. A qualified teacher, Dawid taught special needs education in Romford, England.

A qualified teacher, Dawid taught special needs education in Romford, England.
